T’was A Month Before Christmas

The following poem was sent to me by a friend. Author is unknown.

T’was a month before Christmas
When all through our land,

"Adoration of the Shepherd's" by Gerard von Honthorst, 1622

Not a Christian was praying
Nor taking a stand.

Why the PC Police had taken away
The reason for Christmas––no one could say.

The  children were told by their schools not to sing
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people’s feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a “holiday.”

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks, and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CD’s from Madonna, an X BOX, an iPod
Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

Witness how Otterbein University students use intimidation tactics on a pro-life group called Created Equal in an attempt to control and even silence their right to free speech. The pro-lifers are described as “militant” by Otterbein’s Student Government leaders, but in fact it’s at least one Otterbein student who we see exhibiting actual physical aggression toward the pro-lifers. Keeping Up With the Real Racists

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

The definition of racist has changed so much it’s hard to keep up.

Remember the days when a racist was someone who believed in the innate superiority of one race over another? Tragically, this ideology provided the basis for racists to segregate, victimize, and deny the rights of others. Nevertheless, this is precisely what defined a real racist.

America isn’t perfect, but a lot has changed for the better. Just look at all those of color who want to come here and all the white America haters who won’t leave for what they think is better grazing. To me, this speaks volumes.

Still, progressive rabble-rousers must keep their investment in race current. In 1997, for example, UC Berkeley sponsored a conference, The Making and Unmaking of Whiteness, where activists “critically” examined whiteness. Within three days, they concluded that white people are the “passive inheritors of a system of privilege and wealth.” You know it by its more fashionable name white privilege.

Such sweeping Marxist pronouncements have helped real racists forge their own definition of racism, not as acts or attitudes committed by individuals, but a racism that permanently links all white people. And since no white person wants to be associated with racism, many whites today have enthusiastically embraced feigned diversity oriented reforms and policies just to disassociate themselves from any taint of historical racism. This is called white guilt and it’s the real racist’s secret weapon.

Neil Cavuto gives an economic lesson to Keely Mullen, a young socialist organizer of the Million Student March. You won’t believe what these clueless, self-absorbed brats are demanding.

The New Totalitarians Are Here

By Tom Nichols. This article was originally posted at The Federalist. It gives clarity to what we’re witnessing in America.

Totalitarians want their rule, and their belief system, to be accepted and self-sustaining—even if it takes bludgeoning every last citizen who disagrees.

New Totalitarian Fist

There’s a basic difference in the traditions of political science between “authoritarians” and “totalitaritarians.” People throw both of these words around, but as is so often the case, they’re using words they may not always understand. They have real meaning, however, and the difference between them is important.

Simply put, authoritarians merely want obedience, while totalitarians, whose rule is rooted in an ideology, want obedience and conversion. Authoritarians are a dime a dozen; totalitarians are rare.  The authoritarians are the guys in charge who want to stay in charge, and don’t much care about you, or what you’re doing, so long as you stay out of their way. They are the jefe and his thugs in a brutal regime that want you to shut up, go to work, and look the other way when your loudmouthed neighbor gets his lights punched out by goons in black jackets. Live or die. It’s all the same to the regime.

Totalitarians are a different breed. These are the people who have a plan, who think they see the future more clearly than you or who are convinced they grasp reality in a way that you do not. They don’t serve themselves—or, they don’t serve themselves exclusively—they serve History, or The People, or The Idea, or some other ideological totem that justifies their actions.

Thought Police at the University of Missouri

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

University of Missouri officials have finally reached the apex of totalitarian-style thought. They’re not just silencing free speech, but policing free thought—just in case it might turn into offensive speech.

Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin

Starting in January, all incoming students, as well as faculty and staff, will undergo mandatory diversity and inclusion training that promises to cover all the cliché -isms, but with a particular focus on racism. Guilty or not, all freshmen must successfully pass the training to be eligible to enroll in regular classes.

Why such lunacy?  A single, drunk, white student shouted racial slurs to a group of black students. That’s one student out of thousands who literally had nothing to do with the incident.

Chancellor, R. Bowen Loftin is the bow tie poindexter behind it all. “Racism exists at Mizzou. It’s not everyone. It’s not necessarily even overt sometimes, but it’s there and we have to deal with it,” said Loftin

Deal with it? This sounds like a new pre-crime program inspired by the movie Minority Report (2002). Here, Mr. Loftin thinks he’s a morally superior pre-cog who can predict when a crime is about to take place, opting for his elite campus free speech correctional unit to punish the would-be criminal before the crime is actually committed.

Perhaps the Chancellor is trying to justify his $450,000 a year Mizzou salary at a time when tuitions are skyrocketing. Or maybe he’s filled with indignation over a pay cut. After all, he did receive a cool $1.1 million in 2014 when he was President of Texas A&M.

Do You Patronize Businesses That Undermine Your Freedoms and Values?

By Kimberly Bloom JacksonPinned Post

When my husband and I arrived at the door of a local restaurant that came highly recommended to us, we couldn’t believe our eyes.

No Guns Sign

On their door was the infamous “NO GUNS” sign. We looked at each other in disbelief. How could the owner of the restaurant be so stupid as to draw attention to an establishment full of unarmed customers? Worse yet, how could customers be so stupid? It’s like hanging an “easy target” sign around every neck.

Fact is, mindless gun-free zones are what mass shootings have in common. They are killing zones, free from good guys with guns. That’s why the Aurora movie theater killer chose the more distant theater where guns were not allowed and thus where he wouldn’t have to worry about his plan being foiled.

Still, too many people remain in denial. Recently, an Olive Garden employee asked an on duty Kansas City police officer who was in full uniform to leave the restaurant because he was—wait for it—carrying a gun!

Intense reaction to the incident on social media prompted an Olive Garden spokesperson to apologize for the “misunderstanding.” “We love having members of law enforcement dine with us,” he said. Really? Olive Garden may say they love law enforcement, but did you know they hate the Second Amendment?

As for that restaurant with the “no gun” sign my husband and I visited, needless to say, we moved on to safer turf.
