The Democratic Party’s Ominous Shift

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

Democrats have long believed they alone occupy the higher intellectual ground, regardless of the issue. Recently, their party has undergone an ominous shift. Part of this involves their staunch refusal to engage in any meaningful debate of the issues—considering everyone else as just a bunch of cultural infidels. This is a dangerous mindset, as it threatens the fundamental underpinnings of our civility, and thus the overall stability of America.

The political energy driving the Democratic Party today primarily comes from the Left’s dominance in academia, entertainment, and media. This affords them an unprecedented ability to influence what most people learn, see, and hear—carefully controlling both the medium and the message to keep certain demographics increasingly mired in grievance, fear, and hate. At the heart of it all, of course, is identity politics, producing hotbeds of victim identities that form the basis for the incredibly divisive actions we’re now seeing.

Dear Hollywood: Stop Insulting American Voters!

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

Many of you threatened to leave the country if Donald Trump won the Presidency. Well, he won. Good riddance. Don’t let the big door of freedom hit you on the way out!

Dear Hollywood

Oh, you changed your mind? Is it because you love America or you just love yourselves living in a country that helps you maintain your life-style of lavish hypocrisy? Either way, your recent anti-Trump tantrums are tantamount to a slap in the face of every hard working American voter who is struggling to support their family because of liberal policies of the last 8 years.

Luckily for the rest of us, we didn’t have to cut and run. Instead, when the going got tough, we got going. Trump won because his message resonated with millions of Americans, including the forgotten blue state Rust Belters who are now feeling pretty hopeful. They voted for Trump even when elites like you said it wouldn’t matter. But it did! And while you were ballyhooing about running away from home, some of our military heroes were making the ultimate sacrifice‐‐for all of us‐‐so you would still have the right to act like fools.

2016: Intolerables vs Deplorables

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

The 2016 election was about the direction of America. The battle was a spectacular culture clash dominated by two groups. On one side were the Intolerables, made up largely by the Left’s complex of academia, news media, and entertainment bent on propagandizing intolerance and division. On the other side stood the “Deplorables,” as Hillary Clinton unaffectionately called them, millions of hard working Americans who supported Donald Trump.

Intolerables vs Deplorables

The Deplorables fought hard and won. And the Intolerables spontaneously combusted!

There are now so many embarrassing images of mindless emotionalism, dysfunction, and lack of self-control littering the American landscape, it’s become the new norm. Nevertheless, we must remember 2016 as the year that exposed the deranged Intolerables for who they really are. Let’s take a closer look:

1. Half-Witted Campus Radicals: Ever since institutions of higher learning have morphed into shameful grievance industries where identity politics, victimhood, and political correctness have flourished, so have we seen more division, anger, and hatred across America. Unfortunately, many students wear their victimhood as an uncommon badge of honor. They see themselves as innocent and everyone else is out to get them.

Now, with Trump having won the presidency, their hysterics have reached a whole new psychosomatic level.

Students across the nation have expressed feeling threatened and unsafe with a President-elect Trump. To help them cope, staff have organized everything from “cry-ins” and counseling to hot cocoa and puppy petting. Some students have even worn safety pins to signal that they’ve physically offered themselves as a “safe space” for others.

Intolerant Jennifer Lawrence Insults Her Audience

By Kimberly Bloom Jackson

What is it about Hollywood elites who just can’t help but to show how intolerant and anti-liberty-oriented they really are? It seems like the more fame and fortune they have, the more eager they are to hurl a good insult at the very audiences who have helped them get to where they are.

Jennifer Lawrence, The Hunger Games, 2012

The first time I saw Jennifer Lawrence was in the 2012 hit dystopian adventure The Hunger Games. Kids absolutely loved the movie, as did adults who found themselves taken in by the courageous bow and arrow wielding Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) whose mission was to survive in a violent totalitarian society.

Although highly interpretive, many Christian viewers likened the movie to a Biblical story, complete with self-sacrifice, hope, death, resurrection, and even Bread of Life iconography. For some, the movie was also prophetic in that they now see America increasingly moving further into a “secular, post-Christian cultural space.” Needless to say, The Hunger Games quickly became the centerpiece of many Sunday sermons and Bible studies.

As for Jennifer Lawrence, she couldn’t have dreamed up a better star promoting role. Just one year later in 2013, she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role for Silver Linings Playbook. Today, she’s the world’s highest paid actress having earned a whopping $52,000,000 this year.

Now blessed with her own fame and fortune, Lawrence suddenly got the itch to sound off during a recent interview with Vogue Magazine. Predictably, she towed the same old anti-Christian and anti-Republican line so many other Hollywood celebrities have done before her.

During the interview, Lawrence revealed herself as the ultimate egotistical snob when she told Vogue that she was “embarrassed to be from Kentucky.” Why? Because of a devout Christian woman named Kim Davis, a Kentucky County Clerk, who couldn’t in good conscience issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. “Don’t even say her name in this house,” continued Lawrence.
